Three Phases of Launch Academy

Ignition, 8 Weeks, Virtual
Students and the instructional team work together to solidify fundamental programming skills, virtually. This ensures students are ready to hit the ground running when they arrive on campus.

On-Campus, 10 Weeks, In-Person
A full-time learning experience (60+ hrs/wk) focused on building real products. Students work collaboratively with their peers and our full-time software engineering instructors.

Post Grad Support, 6 Months, Lifetime
Meet Boston hiring companies at our postgraduate kickoff event, interview for jobs and get advice from our engineering team to continue building out your apps.
What does each week look like?
Ignition Week 1-4
Programming Foundations w/ Ruby & JavaScript
Learning the fundamentals of programming is critical to your success as a software engineer.
Ignition Week 5-8
Data Structures, HTML, CSS, & the DOM
Students are ready to start working with compound data structures, the way in which web API’s communicate.
Launch Week 1-2
Object Oriented Programming and Dynamic Web Applications
Equipped with the fundamentals of programming, you’re ready to start building web applications.
Launch Week 3-4
Front-end Development with JavaScript and ReactJS
Modern web applications incorporate front-end frameworks like ReactJS to create remarkable user experiences.
Launch Week 5-6
Databases and Full-stack Web Applications
You’ll design databases and write API’s to populate them, rounding out your skills as a true, full-stack developer.
Launch Week 7-8
Build With a Crew - Small Group Project
You’ll work as a real development team to build a review site, similar to Yelp, where you’ll learn collaborative software development.
Post-Graduate & Beyond
You’re ready to start meeting local hiring companies. Plus, just because you’ve graduated, that doesn’t mean the learning has to stop. Our Technical and Career Services-minded post-grad program will position you to own the job and keep learning. We’ll provide you with a plan and a learning path that will help you land the job.
